Herman the German 25
cents was all it took and i was off , off to relive one of the most
inspiring of olmanson traditions , how vividly i remember the old days, it
was only a nickel then, a mere five pennies and off we would go, climbing
the cast iron steps, taking care to use each one, we had paid for them,
pushing anyone who needed it- scrambling up and through the gapping hole
in the ceiling, stepping out on to the small Arial slab hundreds of feet
up, higher that the trees, n better than a postcard,. the wind- drove
unhindered into our ears and nose and mouth, causing the panic induced awe
we expected - s'what we'd gave the nickle for
